The opening of the Alley of Generals took place at the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Makan Yesbulatov. Having planted evergreen thujas and spruces, each tree was assigned the name of one of the generals. The project was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Academy. The solemn ceremony was held with the participation of the leadership of internal affairs bodies, generals and veterans.

The alley immortalizes the names of Umurzak Bolsambekov, Zhanat Suleimenov, Rustem Kaidarov, Kairbek Suleimenov, Talap Kabdenov, Beksultan Sarsekov, Zhan Kenzhetayev and many others, whose professional biography has become an example for the new generation of police officers and reflects a certain stage in the history of the law enforcement system and the continuity of generations on which the professional traditions of internal affairs bodies are built.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the alley, the head of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel Kalizhan Koblandin noted:

– These are not just trees. Thujas are evergreen, they withstand both heat and cold, and grow for decades. There is a special meaning in this: we want the memory of the people who contributed to the development of internal affairs bodies to grow together with them. A cadet walking along the alley will see a name, wonder who this person was, what path he went through and what he achieved. He will have the opportunity to learn the history of his profession not only from textbooks, but also through the destinies of specific people, – emphasized K. Koblandin.

The peculiarity of the alley is that one can familiarize oneself with the biographies of the generals directly on site. QR codes are placed on the memorial plaques: it is enough to scan them with a smartphone to get information about the person, his career path, merits and awards.

Thus, the memorial project combined the traditional format of preserving memory with modern digital solutions.

For the cadets of the Academy, the alley will become part of the educational and upbringing environment. It will remind them that behind every rank there is a personal story, and professional recognition is made up of concrete actions, decisions and many years of impeccable and honest service.

In different eras, the historical memory of the country and the continuity of generations were personified by people whose names became symbols of courage, resilience and devotion to their cause. Today this tradition is continued by employees of internal affairs bodies, who daily ensure public order, protect the rights of citizens and bear responsibility for the safety of people.

…Over the years, the planted trees will grow stronger, their crowns will become denser, and the alley itself will acquire a new appearance. The names on the plaques will remain evidence that the profession has its own history, service traditions have a continuation, and each new generation has the opportunity to make its own contribution to the development of internal affairs bodies.
