Sustainable mechanisms for the scientific and technological development of the North Kazakhstan Region were discussed at a meeting of the Science and Technology Council, chaired by the head of the region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov.
It is known that the President of the country, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted that science should become a full-fledged productive force, working to grow the economy, strengthen competitive positions, and improve the quality of life of the population. These priorities are also reflected in the updated Constitution, which places particular emphasis on the development of human capital, the modernization of education, and the creation of a favorable environment for scientific and technological progress.
A significant role in this work belongs to one of the republic's leading universities – the M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, which structures its activities taking into account the needs of the region, strengthening the connection between science, the educational sphere, and production. Among the new projects are the launch of the "Tomorrow School" campus, as well as the opening of the "Agrochemical Analytics" and "Water Quality Assessment" laboratories, focused on solving applied problems in the agro-industrial complex, environmental sphere, and industry.
According to the akim, the North Kazakhstan Region possesses a significant scientific resource that needs to be fully unlocked. To achieve this, it is important to ensure close interaction between scientists, the business community, and the state, support promising initiatives, and bring them to practical implementation. During the meeting, Roadmaps and agreements on the formation of industry consortia were signed, designed to support projects at all stages – from scientific development to implementation at enterprises in the region.
