The QAZBOT ROBOTICS FORUM 2026 was held at the International Centre for Artificial Intelligence alem.ai – a key industry event dedicated to humanoid robotics, embodied artificial intelligence technologies, and the practical integration of robotic solutions into the real economy of Kazakhstan.

The forum's leading international participant was AgiBot, a global leader in humanoid robotics.

As noted by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the event brought together representatives of government agencies, technology businesses, major Kazakh companies, and the international expert community. The discussions centred on building domestic expertise in Robotics & AI, adapting and localising foreign developments, training qualified engineering personnel, and scaling robotic solutions across various industries.

"The President's working visit to Shanghai gave a new impetus to Kazakh‑Chinese cooperation in high technologies. QAZBOT ROBOTICS FORUM 2026 has become one of the practical outcomes of the agreements reached. It is important for us that interaction with leading technology companies translates into concrete projects – localisation of solutions, engineering training, and the introduction of robotics into key economic sectors," said Gizzat Baitursynov, Vice‑Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Particular interest was generated by the demonstration programme: AgiBot humanoid robots showcased, in real time, their capabilities for interactive communication with humans, jewellery‑like precision of movement, and the ability to perform complex algorithms. One of the highlights was a performance of the traditional dance "Qara Zhorga" and martial arts elements executed by the robots.

"It is fundamentally important for us that the development of robotics in Kazakhstan is not limited to importing ready‑made solutions. QAZBOT is building a full technological cycle here – from R&D, software, and AI models to localised manufacturing, engineering training, and the deployment of robots in real‑world processes. Our goal is to create Kazakhstan's own industrial and engineering base in Robotics & AI and, together with international partners, bring these technologies to the level of practical application," noted Vladislav Safarov, CEO of QAZBOT Technologies.

On 18 August, one day before the forum, construction began in Astana on Kazakhstan's first Robotics & AI Complex QAZBOT. This facility will serve as the core of the company's production and research infrastructure, combining an R&D centre, software and AI model development, testing laboratories, and localised manufacturing of robotic systems.

The centrepiece of the business programme was the plenary session "AI & Robotics: Shaping the Economy of the Future." Representatives of QAZBOT Technologies, AgiBot, and the global technology community discussed the prospects for embodied artificial intelligence and specific use cases for robots in industry, logistics, finance, healthcare, social services, and urban management.

A dedicated track of the forum was B2B negotiations. Representatives of QAZBOT Technologies and AgiBot held meetings with Kazakh companies, during which they discussed industry‑specific requirements and opportunities for launching pilot projects.

In addition, a number of strategic agreements were signed during the forum with Kazakh and international partners in the areas of technological development, education, and international cooperation.

QAZBOT ROBOTICS FORUM 2026 marked a transition from a general introduction to advanced robotic solutions to a practical phase – the formation of specific projects, partnership alliances, and ready‑to‑use tools for implementation in Kazakhstan's economy.
