In connection with the concern about the increase in immigration of citizens of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officially declares.

"Kazakhstan has a fairly effective migration control system, which is carried out on the basis of the Rules of Entry and Stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rules of migration control.

The legislation clearly regulates the procedure for the stay of foreigners in Kazakhstan.

No foreign citizen has the right to stay indefinitely on the territory of our state, ignoring the requirements of migration legislation.

The permitted period of stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan for citizens of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as a general rule, ends after 90 calendar days from the date of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Registration of immigrants is carried out by the internal affairs bodies on the basis of the information of the receiving persons, as well as the data of the National Security Service, timely received from checkpoints across the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the unified database of entry and exit of foreigners.

According to statistics, about 4.3 million foreigners entered Kazakhstan this year, and 4.1 million left, including 1,660,000 citizens of the Russian Federation, and 1,640,000 left.

Their temporary stay is taken into account, with full information about each of them, passport data and entry dates to control their stay.

Migration processes are being monitored.

The internal affairs bodies monitor the compliance of immigrants with the established rules of stay.

If a foreigner's period of stay expires, the response measures provided for by the legislation are taken against him. During the control, 45.7 thousand violators of migration legislation were brought to administrative responsibility, 4.2 thousand of them were immediately forcibly expelled from Kazakhstan.

At the same time, 3.2 thousand Russians were attracted for violating migration legislation, which is only 0.2% of the number of Russian citizens who entered.

This demonstrates their certain discipline in Kazakhstan to comply with the terms of stay. Otherwise, forced expulsion from Kazakhstan provides for an additional sanction measure in the form of a ban on re-entry into our country for a period of 5 years.

Similarly, the internal affairs bodies monitor compliance with the rules of stay of foreigners in Kazakhstan on the basis of a temporary residence permit, the process of obtaining which is regulated.

When obtaining a temporary residence permit, which, in cases provided for by law, gives a foreigner the right to stay in Kazakhstan for the duration of an employment contract, for the period of study, treatment and other exhaustive grounds, the migration service has full information about the address of residence, the owner of housing and foreigners living there, which allows for migration control.

Any situation related to illegal border crossing, violation of the rules for filing documents for registration in the country is suppressed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is operating normally. Monitoring of compliance with the legislation by foreigners, authorized state and law enforcement agencies is conducted," said Acting Chairman of the CMC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Aslan Atalykov.
