International Museum Day is a holiday that reminds us that museums are not only repositories of unique exhibits but also places where history comes alive, where the memory of significant events and people who have dedicated their lives to serving society is preserved.

In East Kazakhstan, there is a unique museum of the Police Department of the East Kazakhstan Region, which houses materials reflecting the formation and development of internal affairs bodies – from the Soviet militsiya to the modern Kazakhstani police. Among the rare exhibits is a genuine police motorcycle – just like the one in the famous film "Beware of the Car."

– Archival documents, photographs, uniforms, awards, and commemorative exhibits allow visitors to trace the path of service, its traditions, achievements, and commitment to professional duty. Today, the Museum of the Police Department of East Kazakhstan is an important platform for the patriotic and moral education of young officers and the younger generation. Its activities are aimed at preserving historical memory, strengthening respect for the police profession, and ensuring continuity between generations, – the Police Department reported.

In honor of Professional Day, the head of the museum, Bakytgul Kaliyeva, was awarded a certificate of commendation and a commemorative gift for her many years of diligent work, her contribution to preserving the history of internal affairs bodies, and her active work in the patriotic education of youth.

The event was attended by active police officers and cadets of the "Zhas Sakshy" police class from Secondary School No. 30 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. By the way, for the schoolchildren, the excursion provided an opportunity to touch the history of the service and learn about the heroic pages of the internal affairs bodies' activities.

In East Kazakhstan, there is another interesting cultural institution – the Museum of the Department of Emergency Situations of the East Kazakhstan Region, which was opened in 1986. On its shelves are more than three thousand different exhibits telling the history and modern daily life of the fire service. Among the exhibits are books, photographs, documents, medals, badges, souvenirs, and models of fire trucks. The most unique item is a hand-operated piston pump for extinguishing fires from 1934, found in the city of Altai (Zyryanovsk). Also displayed as unusual exhibits are physical evidence from fires.

In addition, the region has a museum of the Regional Court, where shelves display photos, documents, and items telling the history and current daily life of the judges of East Kazakhstan.
