The Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted the national competitions "Zhas IT-Daryns" (Young IT Talent) and "Zhas Iz Kessushi" (Young Investigator) for the Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs.

As part of the celebration of its 70th anniversary, the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Makan Esbulatov held the annual national competitions "Zhas IT-Daryns" and "Zhas Iz Kessushi" for the Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The competitions saw the participation of talented schoolchildren from all regions of the country, who demonstrated knowledge and practical skills in the fields of information technology, digital literacy, logical thinking, and investigative activities.

The names of the winners were announced at an awards ceremony.

According to the results of the "Zhas Iz Kessushi" competition: 1st place was won by Igilik Azamat Suintayuly; 2nd place by Kolashev Yelaman Quantkanuly; 3rd place by Tuzelbayeva Sandugash Aybergenkyzy.

The winners of the "Zhas IT-Daryns" competition were: 1st place – Abdikozha Yeldos Olzhasuly; 2nd place – Yerkebulankyzy Gulim; and 3rd place – Tusip Nurdaulet Manarbekuly.

The winners were congratulated on their success by the Head of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Kalizhan Koblandin, who presented them with diplomas and valuable gifts.

Addressing the competition participants, Kalizhan Koblandin noted: "Today, it is especially important to support talented and proactive youth. It is precisely such competitions that help unlock the potential of schoolchildren, fostering an interest in modern technology, legal culture, and service for the benefit of the state. We are confident that many of these young people will become worthy specialists and patriots of their country in the future."

Support in organizing the tournament of intellectuals was provided by Kazdream IT Holding, the Almaty City Police Department, the Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education of the Almaty City Education Department, as well as the "Samgau" Creative and Developmental Center.

A landmark event was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Makan Esbulatov and the "Samgau" Creative and Developmental Center. The document was signed by the Head of the Academy, Police Colonel Kalizhan Koblandin, and the Director of the Samgau Center, Yermek Yerboshaуev.

This agreement provides for joint measures to develop the creative potential of youth, improve legal literacy, expand knowledge in the field of digital security, and strengthen patriotic values. In the future, the parties plan to implement educational and creative projects, organize seminars, forums, meetings, and events on issues of information security and professional orientation for young people.

Following the awards ceremony, seminars, intellectual games, quizzes, and educational meetings were organized for 10th-grade students of Almaty schools. Special attention was paid to issues of cyberbullying, internet safety, and the prevention of gaming addiction among adolescents. The competition participants were shown the possibilities of operating and launching drones, which sparked great interest among the schoolchildren.

A significant event for the youth was a meeting with the stars of the Kazakh television series "Patrol" (The Patrol). The schoolchildren spoke with their favorite characters from the series, including actors Adilzhan Shombalov, Medet Amanbayev, Dilshat Imamdunov, Beksultan Pilal, Ilyas Kopzhasarov, as well as screenwriter and director Ilkhan Iskhakbayev, asking them to talk about filming, their profession, and life values.

"We are inspired by real police officers. It is precisely because of their daily service, responsibility, and dedication that the stories for our series are born. It is very important that young people respect the profession and understand the value of serving society," noted actor Adilzhan Shombalov.

The competition participants themselves also shared their impressions.

"Taking part in the competition was a great experience for me. Here I met talented kids from all over the country and realized how important knowledge in the field of IT and digital security is today," said Yelaman Kolashev, winner of the "Zhas IT-Daryns" competition.

"I found it very interesting to take part in the investigation and logic tasks. The meeting with the actors of the 'Patrol' series was a real surprise for us as well," shared Sandugash Tuzelbayeva, winner of the "Zhas Iz Kessushi" competition.

This event, held as part of the "Youth and Police" project, demonstrated its significance in developing the intellectual and creative potential of young people, fostering legal culture, and strengthening trust between society and law enforcement agencies. The interest in IT is no coincidence – in the work of law enforcement officers, digital traces today mean no less than fingerprints. To solve such IT-related crimes as database hacking, phishing, cryptocurrency fraud, and others, erudite individuals with knowledge of programming languages and network technologies are needed.

Competitions among schoolchildren and students serve as an effective career guidance tool. By organizing "Zhas IT-Daryns," the Academy identifies talented young people who will come to understand that serving the law in the digital age is prestigious, challenging, and intellectually engaging. And one would like to believe that the winners and participants of these competitions will in the future form a reliable cyber shield for the modern police.
